Managing Attorney
Andrea K. Shoup is an experienced attorney certified by the California State Bar as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. She is dedicated to providing the highest level of personalized service to her clients and understands this may be an unsure and difficult time.
Andrea grew up on the California Central Coast, in San Luis Obispo County. In 2002, she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Andrea decided to pursue a law degree and graduated Magna Cum Laude from California Western School of Law in 2006. While in law school, Andrea served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and was an officer of the Pro-Bono Honors Society.
Following law school, Andrea worked as a Deputy District Attorney for the San Diego District Attorney’s Office. As a felony trial attorney, Andrea was dedicated to ensuring justice was served in every case.
After leaving the District Attorney’s Office in 2012, she opened her own law practice and pursued a new career. She now focuses exclusively on Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Probate Administration. Andrea works diligently and attentively to ensure every case and situation is handled effectively and appropriately.
Andrea enjoys getting to know each client, their concerns, and their wishes in order to tailor a plan to best serve their needs. She takes pride in providing excellent and individualized attention to each client, helping them understand every step of the process.
Andrea lives in Murrieta, California with her husband, David, and their four children.

David A. Shoup spent eight years serving our country in the United States Marine Corps as an infantryman. He left active duty in 2012 to continue his education. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, David earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.), graduating magna cum laude from California Western School of Law in San Diego.
David has a passion for veteran’s rights and mental health awareness and advocates for veterans and the struggles they face after returning from service.
David lives in Murrieta, California with his wife, Andrea, and their four children.
Attorney
John M. Lundry is an experienced California State Licensed attorney who focuses his practice on Estate Planning. He has helped hundreds of clients draft custom revocable living trusts, Power of Attorney, Wills, Guardianship documents and others. John has practiced law in Estate Planning for 13 years in the Temecula/Murrieta area.
John grew up in Iowa and received a Bachelor (B.A.) and M.B.A. from the University of Iowa. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and afterwards, migrated to Southern California where he has lived for the last 14 years.
John’s is committed to providing the highest level of care in drafting specialized plans that fully meet an individual’s needs. He sees his role as matching the appropriate overall plan and then customizing it to meet the requirements of a client. John is a detail oriented individual with a commitment to meet the highest levels of care to his clients.
Outside of the office, John enjoys riding his bike and participating in road races, golfing, gardening and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Attorney
Devon R. Meyer joins us as an estate planning, probate, and trust administration attorney—and we’re so glad to have her on the Shoup Legal team!
Since 2022, Devon has helped hundreds of clients create thoughtful, customized estate plans and has supported families through the probate and trust administration process with compassion and care. She’s passionate about building strong relationships and making sure every client feels heard and supported.
Devon earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she received a Dean’s Honors Scholarship and volunteered her time with the Women’s Clinic and the Education and Disability Clinic. She also holds a B.A. in Legal Studies cum laude from UC Santa Cruz. She is a member of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego and is licensed to practice in California.
Outside the office, Devon loves snorkeling, traveling, and exploring San Diego with her husband and their rescue dog.
Attorney
Matrona Freeman helps individuals and families create plans that reflect both their practical needs and the values they hope to pass on. She believes estate planning is most meaningful when it goes beyond documents to thoughtful conversations about family, legacy, and the opportunities clients want to create for the people they love. As a graduate of Pepperdine Law School with a certificate in Dispute Resolution, she has the expertise to guide clients through difficult decisions with clarity. Known for her approachable style, Matrona helps clients understand complex legal concepts so they can make confident choices about their future. Her work often includes guiding families through questions about caring for young children, preserving meaningful heirlooms, and creating flexible plans that adapt as life changes.
Outside of work, Matrona enjoys traveling, especially to places known for natural beauty or historic architecture and has a deep interest in family stories, often recording and preserving family histories. As a mom of three energetic boys, she understands firsthand how quickly family life changes and why planning ahead matters. In her free time, she also enjoys learning languages and playing music.
Legal Operations Manager
With over 14 years of experience in Business Administration and Operations, Christina Origel has been a key member of the Shoup Legal, APLC team since 2022. In her role as Legal Operations Manager, she oversees a wide range of administrative tasks, streamlines workflows, and optimizes operational processes to drive productivity and improve overall efficiency. Christina’s comprehensive approach has played a crucial role in supporting the firm’s growth and ensuring a seamless, high-quality legal experience for both clients and staff.
Christina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Sonoma State University and remains committed to her professional development through ongoing learning and training. Her dedication to enhancing operational strategies and maintaining a high level of client service aligns with the firm’s mission to deliver excellence in legal support and services.
Outside of work, Christina resides in Murrieta with her husband and children. She enjoys cheering on her kids at their extracurricular activities, planning family camping trips, and indulging in a good book. Christina is also passionate about landscape photography, exploring new cities and towns, and finding hidden treasures at antique stores.

Alexa graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Master’s in Business Administration specialized in Supply Chain Management and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis Human Resource Management.
Alexa is passionate about leadership and cultivating company culture that supports the strategic vision of the firm. As the Director of Human Resources, Alexa loves being a part of building such a highly motivated and talented team here at Shoup Legal.
In her free time, Alexa enjoys coaching volleyball, spending time with family, and enjoying life as a newlywed.
Office Manager
Thuy “Twee” Hugens is the Office Manager at Shoup Legal, supporting the team through efficient office operations, and administrative management. Previously, she was an HR Coordinator for an executive company dealing in software solutions for government contracts. She also had a decade of retail management experience with an industry leader. With her background in administration and management, she is known for her strong organizational skills, positive approach, and commitment to providing a seamless experience for both clients and colleagues. Whether by phone or in-person, she enjoys interaction with clients and feels we all can make a positive impact when we cross paths in life, whether personally or professionally. In her spare time, she loves to travel and try new culinary experiences.
Estate Planning Supervisor
Kelli recently graduated from California Baptist University with her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She was also married in February and is enjoying the married life.
Kelli is currently an Estate Planning Assistant at Shoup Legal and is passionate about legal services and Estate Planning.
In her free time, you can find Kelli crafting, discussing books with her book club, or enjoying her friends and family on her boat.
Trust Administration Paralegal
Bailey joined Shoup Legal as an Office Assistant and quickly moved into the Paralegal position in the Trust Administration department. Bailey brings over 10 years of Trust and Estates experience to the department and knows the importance of assisting clients after the loss of their loved ones.
Outside of work, Bailey enjoys gardening, watching movies, and baking. She is also an avid animal lover.
Probate & Trust Administration Paralegal
Christy recently joined Shoup Legal as a Probate & Trust Administration paralegal to pursue a new career in Estate Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Missouri Science & Tech (formerly University of Missouri- Rolla) and her law degree from the University of Missouri- Columbia. Her varied professional background includes practicing law, almost a decade in Account Management, running her own business, and teaching mindfulness for UCSD. She is currently training to become a licensed Professional Fiduciary through UC Riverside to further her passion for connecting with and supporting clients.
Outside of work, Christy loves spending time with her family, exploring the local wineries with friends, and curling up with her cats and a good book.
Probate Assistant
Dailah graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. Her future goal is to become an attorney working in the field of business. After doing a summer internship with Hilder & Associates, P.C. Attorneys at Law in Houston, Texas, Dailah was sure this was the right path for her. She is passionate about helping others and is excited to continue her journey and grow within the legal field.
Outside of work, Dailah enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her puppy! She would love to travel the world someday, and likes to paint, go to the beach, and hike.

Nini joined the Shoup Legal team in 2016. She has worked in law firms located in New York City, San Francisco and finally here in Murrieta. Nini strives to maintain a high standard of loyalty, professionalism and amazing customer service that she has learned throughout her different life experiences. She enjoys helping the families we serve protect their loved ones and have peace of mind through estate planning.

Gaby V. Martlaro is an Estate Planning Assistant who brings a strong background in client relations and administrative support. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, San Marcos, and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Gaby is dedicated to providing clients with a positive and organized experience while assisting her team with care and efficiency.
In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, exploring national parks, and spending time with her wife and their two dogs.

Gillian Sisto is an Estate Planning Assistant who brings a strong passion for client service and relationship building. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside. Gillian is dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive experience for clients while assisting her team with care, organization, and attention to detail.
Gillian plans to attend law school in the future with the goal of becoming an attorney. Marketing Coordinator
Meet Heather, the Marketing Coordinator at Shoup Legal, where she leads the firm’s marketing strategy and execution across all channels. She works closely with the rest of the marketing team to drive campaigns, workshops, and initiatives that support the firm’s growth.
Originally from California, Heather now lives in North Carolina with her husband, their two children, and six pets. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
Heather started with the firm as a Marketing Intern and quickly advanced into her current role. She now oversees vendor management, campaigns, advertising, website updates, and performance tracking, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned and effective.
Outside of work, she enjoys photography, home renovation projects, and spending time with her family.
